There was a Hinton Jail that was constructed sometime between 1909 and 1916 according to Sanborn maps.
This jail is in the same location of the one on the Sanborn Maps. But newspaper articles detail a new Hinton Jail being constructed in 1929 for a total of $950. This jail could also possibly be that one.
