Lima Jail

City/Town:
Location Class:
Built: 1907 | Abandoned: Unknown
Status: AbandonedEndangered
Photojournalist: Cathy Brock

The Lima Jail sits alone in the disappearing town being consumed by foliage. It no longer resembles a jail as it has mostly fallen in on itself. Its stories are hidden away, yet to be uncovered. It is endangered of being returned to the earth and its history gone forever. It sits in one of the All Black Towns of Oklahoma, Lima. Lima also holds one of the only existing Rosenwald Schools left in Oklahoma.
