The Wayne jail is tucked away in an alley off of Main Street, history hidden away. Information on the jail and its occupants couldn’t be found but it can be assumed that this jail was built in the ~1910-1920s time period when pour-in-place construction was popular for these tiny jails. It is a single cell, featuring a slight barrel roof and a steel thick barred door. Those that would have stayed here would be the drunk & disorderly, petty theft, and other minor crimes.
