Not much is really known about the Kingfisher jail cell, according to the museum in which it sits, “It was moved from downtown to the museum at some point long before the current staff arrived.” This was more than likely not a calaboose as it is a cage cell and much bigger than any I’ve ever seen. It was most likely used as a holding cell within a city building. What usually happened were those city buildings were then demolished or replaced and the cells were removed sometimes being preserved such as this one.
